Instructions

  • Add the ground pork and the Italian sausage seasoning into a 1-Quart mixing bowl. Mix with a spoon or your hands until well mixed. Refrigerate.
  • Place the onion and bell pepper into a microwave container with 2 tablespoons of water. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Remove carefully from the microwave and drain, then set aside.
  • Boil the dry pasta according to package directions, adding 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the water.
  • Cook seasoned pork sausage in a medium frying pan for 5 minutes or until fully cooked. The crumbled pork should be in medium-sized pieces. Drain and set aside.
  • Place the garlic, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes into the same pan. Heat over medium heat for 5 minutes, uncovered.
  • Drain cooked pasta and add to the frying pan. Add the drained seasoned pork and the 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Mix and continue to cook over medium heat for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Serve with one tablespoon of cheese on each serving.

Notes

We prefer to season ground pork rather than buy a seasoned Italian sausage link. It just tastes fresher. Mix your pork and seasonings up the night before, and this will be super quick to make.
