OXO Good Grips V-Blade Mandoline Slicer Review

This OXO Good Grips Mandoline has many slicing abilities. With 3 interchangeable blades, it allows you to make julienne strips, 4 different slice thicknesses, and french fries.

Pros:

The stainless steel blades are sharp and stay that way.

It has a wide anti-slip handle for a secure grip.

The mandoline comes apart easily, and while the blades are hand-wash only, the rest is top shelf dishwasher safe for quick clean up.

It’s very stable because of the non-slip feet.

Having the blades stored in the mandoline is very convenient.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the plastic parts tend to stain.

Because the blades are super sharp, you need to be very careful using it.

Dryer foods sometimes stick during slicing.

The protective food holder is clunky and not at all helpful. I suggest getting a pair of Cut Resistent Gloves to use instead. It’s a risk not using the food holder, but the trade-off is worth it to me to be able to hold the food I’m slicing securely.

I would recommend this OXO Good Grips Mandoline for it’s ease in assembly, use, and cleaning.  It has a variety of blades available and slices very evenly. It’s also a lot faster than a knife for my food prep.
