Parmesan Peas Recipe for Two

Peas make me think of spring. But we can serve this dish year-round. Frozen peas come to our rescue and are perfect for this dish. The peas are ready in just a few minutes. They are bright in color and flavor.

Peas make me think of spring. But we can serve this dish year-round. Frozen peas come to our rescue and are perfect for this dish. The peas are ready in just a few minutes. They are bright in color and flavor.
Equipment
- Medium frying pan
- Knives
- Strainer
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup Frozen peas , thawed and drained
- 2 Tbsp Belgioioso parmesan snacking cheese, shredded small or grated
- 2 Tbsp Onion , minced
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 1/4 tsp Minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp Granulated onion
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in a medium pan over medium heat. Add the minced onion and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in garlic, salt, granulated onion, and black pepper. Add the drained peas and heat for 2-3 minutes. Don’t overcook. You simply need to heat the peas. Peas should remain bright green.
- Remove from heat and gently stir in the Parmesan cheese. Place in a serving dish and serve warm.
Notes
You can use fresh peas, but the cooking time will need to be adjusted until the peas are cooked through.
Do not use canned peas unless you must.
