Brown Sugar Bourbon Chicken
The sauce makes the chicken taste remarkable. We will be making this often. Hope you like it as much as we do.
Equipment
- Medium frying pan
- Knives
- Small bowl
Ingredients
- 8 oz. Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 Green onions, green parts only, for garnish
- 2 Tbsp Bourbon
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp Light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp Heinz no sugar added ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp Ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp Granulated onion
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/16 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and granulated onion. Set aside.
- Whisk the garlic, broth, bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, and ginger in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a medium frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear on both sides. Don’t overcook the chicken. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss it to coat.
- Toss the chicken occasionally while cooking over medium-high heat. The liquid should reduce to a glaze. Cook about 6-8 minutes.
- Serve with sliced green onions as garnish.
